Those who don’t take part in Stammtisch life miss exciting evenings and interesting discussions. Active participation is the best way to see who truly has interest. Only then can we ensure our members are active and committed.

For us, what counts is active, in-person participation at the Stammtisch.

As a rule, only one or two emails per week or every two weeks are distributed via this list - depending on upcoming events or discussion needs.

At the Stammtisch we speak German. Unfortunately, we cannot support other languages, even though our website is largely multilingual.

The coronavirus pandemic affects our everyday lives and also our Stammtisch activities.

We recommend that all visitors and interested parties get vaccinated against COVID-19. We understand that some people cannot be vaccinated for health reasons, such as intolerances. There are now numerous opportunities at doctors’ offices and vaccination centers to receive a vaccine against the virus.

In the past, unfortunately, there were cases where people stayed with us who had regular contact with the public prosecutor, police, courts, etc., and thus were also familiar with prisons from the inside. We learned about this only afterwards or very late, for example through personal conversations or public reporting.

The BDSM Stammtisch Münster and Münsterland is not a place for people who have been or are currently criminally convicted, for example for murder, rape, sexual acts with minors, or similar offenses.

The Stammtisch management explicitly distances itself from such people.

If the Stammtisch management becomes aware of such a case from a member or interested party, that person will be immediately excluded from the Stammtisch.

However, we do not check in advance whether an interested person has a corresponding criminal record. This is not about speeding violations and/or points in Flensburg.

We know this topic is sensitive and unpleasant, even frightening (which people may circulate in the scene ...). We had and have to learn to deal with it. Nonetheless, there is no place for such people at our Stammtisch, and we have a clear stance: zero tolerance.

New interested people are, of course, very welcome to come to the Stammtisch! We must protect the other participants and provide them with a safe space. We address this issue openly and offer everyone a protected environment.

However, we must inform and communicate clearly in advance.

No, this Stammtisch is independent of any community or BDSM scene website (except for our own homepage). We have neither an umbrella association nor are we affiliated with a club. We simply consider ourselves part of the BDSM scene in Germany.

We are an active member of the BDSM network Münster and Münsterland, which was partly created through our Stammtisch work.

One major exception was the BVSM e.V. (Bundesvereinigung Sadomasochismus e.V.). We are not an association and do not intend to become one.

Participation in the Stammtisch is and will remain free of charge. There are no monthly or other compulsory payments.

However, it cannot be expected that the organizers finance jointly agreed expenses on their own. Such expenses should be shared by all participants. For this reason, a donation box is available. Contributions are voluntary but appreciated.

Common costs may include, for example, advertising expenses or small gifts. Decisions on such expenses are made democratically. Costs arise only if you order food or drinks yourself, which you pay for. There is no obligation to consume, nor any minimum consumption required by the venue.

Transparency matters to us. The cash book for the Stammtisch (income and expenses) can be downloaded via a link in the regular info email.

Whether you can pay with an EC or credit card at our events depends on the location. At our regular venue Mauritius, card payment is not possible — you can only pay in cash there. However, there is a Sparkasse bank branch directly across the street where you can withdraw cash.

Please do not share any information about a member that you learned at the Stammtisch—whether private or job-related—outside the group.

To avoid unintended outing, also refrain from any references to BDSM or the Stammtisch if you happen to meet a member around coworkers, family, friends, or acquaintances. Please follow these rules.

Since the founding of the Stammtisch in 2012, our goal has been to be a real Stammtisch – not a virtual one. Until early 2020, however, there was no coronavirus pandemic and therefore no lockdowns with the closure of restaurants.

All personal visitor data is stored in a mySQL database. The database is located on a server in the Dresden data center of the web host Neue Medien Münnich, just like our website. The newsletter is generated with a self-developed PHP-/mySQL script. Backups of the user database are created regularly and kept for two weeks before being deleted.

We provide everyone with a secure space for their data, locally on site. Please note that we do not share your direct contact details with third parties or other participants.

How can the Stammtisch leadership determine and assess the interest of newcomers?

At the beginning, we asked ourselves exactly these questions. The answer was simple: The interest of a visitor can be measured by their participation in the Stammtisch. If someone attends the Stammtisch, they are interested. Each participant receives an individual observation period to check whether they have taken part in Stammtisch life. When the date is reached, we check the visitor statistics to see if the participant has actually taken part.

The date lies in the future. Everyone can view the date of their individual observation period in their personal login to the Stammtisch user info; it is also communicated in the newsletter. The login details are sent by e-mail, provided we have an e-mail address.

We delete your data as soon as you unsubscribe from us or if you have not participated in the Stammtisch for one year. We will inform you about the deletion of your data in a separate email.

Attendance statistics let us record how many people visit the Stammtisch and whether a member attended after registering.

The Stammtisch thrives on active members who participate in person. We do not need people who only read emails (virtual members). We are a real-life Stammtisch and value that our members do not hide behind a computer.

User data and passwords are part of the internet today—just like Wikipedia, Google or Facebook.

Every interested person or Stammtisch visitor receives their own access to the Userinfo portal, a small site where personal data can be viewed. These data are accessible only to the Stammtisch leadership and the person concerned.

We communicate this transparently. Login is via username and password.

The username consists of the person’s first name, a random five-digit number, and a special character, ensuring uniqueness in the system.

The password is 15 characters long and includes uppercase/lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters. Passwords are intentionally generated at random and used exclusively for our service. For security, passwords are stored as password hashes using the PASSWORD_BCRYPT algorithm. PASSWORD_BCRYPT is used to create new password hashes with the CRYPT_BLOWFISH algorithm. We set the cost option to 15. From the hashes in the database, the original password can neither be read nor reverse-engineered; it can only be reset.

Access to Userinfo is granted only when username and password are entered correctly.

When logging in, a session cookie is created and deleted once you leave the Userinfo or close the browser window.

If you need a secure password, you can use PassGenerator.de.

We often shorten long internet addresses, such as links to Google Maps or downloads. For this we use a short-URL service under the subdomain https://s.bdsm-muenster.com/. This also lets us see whether the link was clicked. Our short-URL service is based on the self-hosted script from Yourls.

In our Stammtisch member management we store the following information:

• Your real first name and your eMail address are mandatory. We intentionally do not record pseudonyms or nicknames.
• If you have provided further master data such as phone number, location details, year of birth or relationship status, as well as your preferences or BDSM experience, these are voluntary details you submitted via the contact form.
• For our age and area statistics it is helpful if you share your year of birth as well as your place of residence, borough and neighborhood.
• We also record statistical data such as the date of your initial contact, your first visit to our Stammtisch, the duration of your observation period (this value is dynamic) and the time of your actual visit. Actual visits are recorded for the current year and the previous two years.
• We also note whether you have subscribed to our circulars, are a member of our WhatsApp group or are waitlisted for it.
• We also record whether you have registered for a special event.

You can view all of this data at any time in your user login, which we set up exactly for this purpose. We will send your personal login credentials to you upon first contact.
